EVIL DEAD III:
ARMY OF DARKNESS
Evil Dead III: The Army of Darkness was my first feature film experience. I was hired to conceptualize Ash's chopper car for the film's finale. It was quite a thrill and was only the beginning of some really fun and inventive films to come, including projects for DreamWorks, Universal, Paramount, Warner Bros., Sony Pictures, Disney, and Twentieth Century Fox. To keep up with technology, I've integrated various computer hardware and software into my design process. While the computer hasn't replaced the traditional ways of generating concepts, it has proven to be an invaluable tool that expands creativity to other levels. Currently, my work can be seen in the books- "The Art of the Matrix" and "Pearl Harbor: The Movie and the Moment." I also have some pieces on the Sony Spider-man (costume artwork) and The Patriot websites. And if you really want to dig deep, check out The Lost World and X-Men dvds. Feel free to contact me with any questions or comments.
Greetings, and welcome to my website. I am a freelance conceptual artist living in Los Angeles, California. Primarily, my work has been for the film industry, but I've also had the opportunity to be involved with theme park design, video games, animation, and other industries. I'm originally from Detroit, Michigan where I studied Industrial Design at the Center for Creative Studies. As an intern for Ford Motor Company, along with three other students, I designed the Ford "Splash" concept car. My exterior was chosen for the full size running prototype that made it's debut at the Detroit Auto Show in 1989. It was a tremendous experience for which I thought there would be no parallel. After finishing college, I decided to relocate to Los Angeles and break into the film industry. It was important to me that I develop my abilities to envelope a wide range of drawing and painting skills. Thankfully, I've worked on a variety of projects that never stop challenging me artistically and creatively.
